Command Staff

Commanding Officer (CO)
Fleet Captain Nancy Rabel Hall
The Commanding Officer is the person who makes sure the ship runs smoothly and that STARFLEET knows it. She/He keeps the crew informed of STARFLEET information coming down from the Region One Coordinator, handles problems within the ship, and coordinates ideas within the chapter and with other STARFLEET chapters.
DUTIES OF THE COMMANDING OFFICER:
  1. Make monthly reports to STARFLEET Fleet Admiral, Chief of Operations, and the R/1 Regional Coordinator.
  2. Handle problems that arise on the Ship, and see that everything runs smoothly.
  3. Act as liason between STARFLEET and the U.S.S. JURASSIC crew.
  4. Act as liason between the U.S.S. JURASSIC crew and other STARFLEET chapters.
  5. Serves on the Promotions Review Board.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR COMMANDING OFFICER:

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Must have passed OTS and OCC.
  3. Must be mature enough to deal with groups of people diplomatically.
  4. Must be a member of the JURASSIC for at least two years.
  5. Must have successfully held a position on the JURASSIC for at least one year.

First Officer (XO)

Fleet Captain Jill Tipton
The First Officer has several duties on the ship. Among these are training personnel, being an advisor, and keeping the CO sane . . .
DUTIES OF THE FIRST OFFICER INCLUDE:
  1. Collect monthly reports from the Division Chief's and compile them for the Commanding Officer.
  2. Train Department Chief's, and help them with problems.
  3. Advise the Commanding Officer of problems, and possible solutions among the crew.
  4. Assume the position of CO, if the present CO resigns or becomes physically unable to command.
  5. Be a part of the Promotions Review Board.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF FIRST OFFICER:

Same as those for Commanding Officer.


SECOND OFFICER (2Off)

The Second Officer serves as a Second Vice President would in non-Starfleet clubs. He/she shares some of the duties of the XO in that he/she is responsible for training other leaders in the club. While the XO deals with DC's, the Second Officer deals mostly with Project Leaders. There is still room for training personnel, and definitely keeping the CO and XO sane . . . [This position may or may not be filled as the ship's needs dictate.]

DUTIES OF THE SECOND OFFICER INCLUDE:

  1. Collect monthly reports from the Project Leaders and compile them for the Commanding Officer.
  2. Train Project Leaders, and help them with problems.
  3. Advise the Commanding Officer of problems, and possible solutions among the crew.
  4. Assume the position of XO, if the present XO resigns or becomes physically unable to do his/her job.
  5. Be a part of the Promotions Review Board.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF SECOND OFFICER:

Same as those for First Officer.


THIRD OFFICER

The Third Officer serves as a Third Vice President would in non-Starfleet clubs. He/she shares the duties of the Command Staff. [This position may or may not be filled as the ship's needs dictate.]

DUTIES OF THE THIRD OFFICER INCLUDE:

1) Duties to be announced.

Same as those for Second Officer.
